Shedding and pilling are a normal behaviour for handmade rugs and this will settle down over time. Pilling is not a defect or fault and can happen with both natural wool and man-made fibres.
The characteristics of the Armadillo & Co Sierra weave are more prone to shedding and therefore may also experience pilling.
Pilling can occur due to traffic, moving furniture and vacuuming.
HOW TO DE-PILL
• First Vacuum
• Using a razor carefully de-pill as you would a knitted jumper
• Take care! DO NOT cut the construction of the rug underneath
• Work in small sections by marking out a 1m by 1m area ~ work from the top corner down
• Finish off with a light vacuum and then you’re done👌🏻
